Abstract

This IDC Survey analyzes the trends related to brand-oriented value chain (BOVC) manufacturing organizations in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) in the areas of business challenges, concerns, priorities, and operational improvements. Data comparisons were made to 2021 and 2023 findings to reveal digital initiative and investment preferences to improve manufacturing operations.

"BOVC manufacturing is a fast-paced industry. Dynamic consumer lifestyle preferences and seasonable product demand drive organizations to accelerate the adoption and scale their digital initiatives to accelerate innovation and improve business workflow and shop floor operations. Organizations need to recognize the importance of aligning their business strategy with these digital initiatives to deliver customer-centric products and enhance customer experience to remain competitive in the market," says Wai Yee Lee, research manager for IDC Asia/Pacific Manufacturing Insights research.
