Canadian Consumer Connected Mobility and Connected Home Devices Install Base Forecast, 2020–2024
By: Manish Nargas Senior Analyst, Consumer and Mobile Research
Abstract
This IDC study examines consumer connected mobility and connected home devices install base in Canada for 2020–2024.
"In a year plagued by unforeseen global incidences and restrictions to curb the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, certain categories of connected consumer devices in Canada profited greatly, while others were deems as a 'nice to have' or 'replaceable' for now," says Manish Nargas, senior analyst for Consumer Services and Mobility. "Through the forecast period beyond 2020, vendors and service providers alike have an opportunity to build on the success of high-demand devices but also possibly reset or reignite the need for a smart-er home as consumers reset their own lifestyles and behaviors."
