Abstract

This IDC Perspective provides an overview of new approaches to address the changes in supporting information technology (IT). The pace of business is changing, getting faster, and more demanding, with customers coming into focus as the driving force. Technology is at the heart of this change. If companies are not looking at digital as the engine of growth, they are looking in the wrong direction. IT based on legacy and traditional development, organized by software, operation, and so on, will not meet the speed and flexibility needed to not only survive but thrive in the digital economy.
