Are Canadian Organizations Accelerating Their Implementation and Support for a Paperless Office?
Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight addresses how Canadian organizations have altered their paperless strategies due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This document contains data from IDC Canada's IT Advisory Panel (ITAP), which was completed in July 2021. IDC conducted this survey to understand if small, medium-sized, and large business have fast-tracked their plans to implement a fully supported paperless strategy.
"There have been many reasons why Canadian organizations have experienced a reduction in page volume in the past year, from limited access to home printers when working remotely to new office policies governing social distancing and reducing office touch points. These reactionary changes to new working conditions have kept people from printing; however, in the long-term, the pandemic has underscored the need for new digital workflows that may no longer include the printed page," explained Evan Hardie, research director, Imaging and Future of Work at IDC Canada.
