On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey analyzes IDC's latest primary research on the Internet of Things (IoT) in Canada. In winter 2020-2021, IDC surveyed 401 IT decision makers about their organization's IoT deployment plans by industry-specific solution. Those who had already adopted at least one IoT solution were then asked about their choice of connectivity standard for their IoT deployments and their choice of communication service provider.

This IDC Survey analyzes the types of connectivity standards from fixed wireline to cellular and LPWAN to short range radio as well as satellite that Canadian enterprises of all sizes and sectors are currently using and planning to use for their IoT deployments. It partners with Canadian Enterprises and Their IoT Communication Services Provider Choices (IDC #CA46291721, forthcoming), which outlines which communications service providers Canadian organizations are choosing for their IoT deployments.

This data is important for marketing, communications, sales, and partnering executives seeking to better understand the rapidly changing IoT landscape in Canada.
