Abstract

This IDC Presentation presents the China implications of our CIO Agenda top 10 predictions. As they navigate the powerful winds of change spawned by climate change, pandemics, digitally fueled competition, and other forces, CIOs must continuously harness and quickly accommodate those forces to advance their organizations — or watch them crumble and fail. Given the volatile and uncertain economic outlook worldwide, what has worked well in the past is not a ticket to future success. And CIOs can expect to take on larger and more complex responsibilities — witness the rapid emergence of worker and customer health and safety and sustainable IT as imperatives. CIOs need new playbooks for the coming era, focused on building modular and adaptable digital infrastructure, creating and orchestrating ecosystems that function as extensions of IT, mastering complex cloud computing environments, and creating data-centric cultures and practices that unleash the true value of enterprise and ecosystem information.
