Traditional team structures are beginning to change within high-performing organizations. IDC predicts that by 2024, leaders in 50% of G2000 organizations will have mastered "future of culture" traits such as empathy, empowerment, innovation, and customer and data centricity to achieve leadership at scale. As digital transformation levels the competitive playing field for organizations and economies around the world, many understand the importance of human-machine augmentation to drive new organizational values. This understanding shapes their drive and commitment in finding the "fit for purpose" augmentation suited for their past heritage and future ambition. By 2021, new future of work (FoW) practices will expand the functionality and effectiveness of the digital workforce by 35%, fueling an acceleration of productivity and innovation at practicing organizations. In five years, 75% of the global workforce will be millennials, and organizations will have to not only manage their expectations but also harness the strengths of a multigenerational workforce.
