Branch of One: Evolution of the Network Edge for Remote Workers
These event proceedings were presented at IDC Directions in March 2021.
COVID-19 has forced enterprises to rapidly rethink how they support a significant increase in remote workers. Even before COVID-19, enterprises were exploring new architectures for the edge of their networks that more cohesively manage network and security together. COVID-19 exacerbated that challenge as enterprises increasingly need to extend the enterprise network to employees working from home. This session uses fresh survey data to define the challenges of edge networking and to explore what long-term impacts COVID-19 has ushered in that will remain after the pandemic has subsided.
