This IDC Survey analyzes business priorities of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Western Europe in 2018. It examines the key initiatives across SMBs for the coming months and will provide IT vendors with a comprehensive picture of company-size-related needs they should consider in their distribution strategies.
This presentation is based on the results of the IDC European Vertical Markets Survey 2017, which involved 1,967 companies with more than 10 employees in over 86% of the European economy (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the Nordics, and the U.K.). The results in this presentation come from respondents with fewer than 500 employees (955 companies).
"The survey shows that SMBs in Western Europe will continue to focus on security solutions. Preventing and raising barriers against cyberthreats is the top business priority for SMBs in 2018. In addition, SMBs will focus on implementing solutions to comply with new regulations that will enter into force this year, like GDPR," says Andrea Minonne, research analyst, IDC Customer Insights and Analysis.
