This IDC Survey Spotlight analyzes the results of a survey question related to which type of third-party provider would be the first choice to help end users choose which technology to implement. This question was taken from IDC's 2016 European Software Survey of 908 European respondents.

Both vendors and partners have a role to play as the majority of European end-user organizations reach out to external resources for support on software purchases, but our research shows that partners play a critical role in influencing software-buying decisions across all software solution areas.
