By: Michael CeroiciResearch Analyst, European Datacenter Group, Martin WhitworthResearch Director, European Security

Abstract

This IDC Market Perspective focuses on the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Code of Conduct in the face of imminent General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in May 2018. The goal of the Code of Conduct is to offer multi-level certification processes through which organizations can prove their compliance. "As no clear frontrunner has emerged in terms of cloud code of conducts, European organizations need to evaluate the different options to find the best fit for their business," said Michael Ceroici, research analyst, IDC Western Europe. This report includes an overview of the CSA Code of Conduct, its adherence processes, and challenges for its certification processes.
