Abstract

This Market Note summarizes the learnings from IDC's interactions with end users at Salesforce's Dreamforce customer event in San Francisco in November 2017, including feedback from their experience of planning and implementing Salesforce products. The key message from organizations implementing Salesforce technology was that getting people's visions and motivations aligned — and keeping them aligned — is the key to success. The starting point is the business needs of the organization and the motivations of its key stakeholders — everything else, including the technology, follows from that.
