During the event, delegates heard from Oracle CEO Mark Hurd, who outlined how he sees Oracle's wider position in the market, and how its key technology offerings can help it differentiate. Deep dives were hosted around Oracle's approach to cloud and digital transformation, and attention was paid to its impact on the partner community.
"Oracle's MBX event outlined key elements of its strategy to move toward the cloud. To bring this strategy to fruition, Oracle will need to focus on 'lift and shift' application workloads that are moving to the cloud, and importantly, on net-new digital services that spring from the cloud," said Philip Carter, IDC's Chief Analyst for Europe.
