This IDC Perspective looks into the ruggedized devices market in Western Europe. The number of mobile workers has been increasing over the past few years. Enterprises are prioritizing spending on mobile devices for non-office-based workers. "IDC research found that enterprises in Europe plan to increase the number of ruggedized devices in the next 12 months," said Marta Pinto, senior research analyst, European Mobile Devices. "This represents a major opportunity for ruggedized devices vendors, particularly ruggedized smartphone vendors, as IDC forecasts this segment to grow at a CAGR of 13% in the next four years."
