This IDC Market Perspective describes the set of transformations that European partners need to make to stay competitive in the 2nd Chapter of the 3rd Platform. Since the emergence of the 3rd Platform in 2007, IDC has been advising channel partners about its disruptive impact across 10 business dimensions. The insights of this research effort were captured in the "Partner of the Future" framework, which outlined 10 major transformations that partners would need to undergo to remain relevant and profitable in the age of cloud. In this report, we provide the next evolution of this framework that looks at the impact of the 2nd Chapter of the 3rd Platform and how digital transformation will continue to challenge partner business models.
