Nordic IoT Decision-Maker Survey Insights, 2019: Market Maturity Changes Customer Demand and Preferences

By: Anders ElbakResearch Director

On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey presents results from IDC's extensive quantitative research initiative on Internet of Things (IoT) adoption around the world. The survey encompasses 4,873 respondents across 26 countries worldwide — including 280 from Nordic countries.

As the Nordic IoT market matures, new customer segments emerge. Industry and/or use-case specific segmentation is still necessary, but vendors increasingly need to understand different approaches and preferences based on customers' experience and investment plans.

"We are seeing distinct differences in everything from business objectives to vendor preferences between organizations that maintain and run an IoT solution, those extending their solutions, and those deploying IoT for the first time," said Anders Elbak, Nordic associate director and member of IDCs European IoT Research Practice.
