On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey presents a subset of results from IDC's 2019 European Enterprise Mobility Survey. The survey provides insight into mobile connectivity patterns within organizations. In this presentation, some of the key results and changes are highlighted and analyzed for Western Europe (WE) and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Mobility considered an integral part of enterprise ICT strategies, and connectivity continues to play a big role in it. As a result, connectivity in the enterprise will continue to grow, particularly as availability and uptake of 5G services are set to gather pace in the next 12-18 months. Corporate-liable mobile services plans are the most predominant company approach to mobile connectivity models. Results find that on average, 45% of European enterprises use this as their primary monthly plan for employees.

The annual European Enterprise Mobility Survey was conducted in August 2019. This survey helps companies track rapid transitions in the highly competitive and fast-moving marketplace. For the purpose of this study, 1,800 businesses across 21 countries in Western and Central Europe were surveyed.

The charts in this presentation only show the results in total. The breakdowns by country, company size, and industry sector are available upon request.
