On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey assesses the status of quantum computing adoption across European companies in 2019, providing IT vendors with a detailed view of end users' awareness of the technology and their initiatives to approach it. The report is fundamental for IT vendors currently working on quantum computing or companies willing to invest in it to understand how the European quantum computing market is starting to form.

The presentation is based on the results of the IDC European Tech and Industry Pulse Survey, 2019–2020, which involved 2,793 organizations with more than 10 employees in over 77% of the European economy (the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the Nordics, Russia, Poland, and Czech Republic). Vertical markets analyzed include finance (including banking and insurance), manufacturing, healthcare, telecom/media, utilities/oil and gas, retail/wholesale, professional services, transportation, and government/education.
