European Enterprise Communications Survey, 2020: Attitudes Toward Network Life-Cycle Services and Providers
This IDC Survey analyzes trends impacting enterprise network life-cycle services (NLS) providers in Europe and identifies key opportunities for the next two years, based on IDC's European Enterprise Communications Survey 2020.
IDC's European Enterprise Communications Survey is an annual survey and a "must have" for any technology provider. It identifies organizations' priorities around enterprise communications services including telecommunications, collaboration, cloud, network, and life-cycle services. In addition, it provides an overview of companies' network investment strategies, challenges, and service provider preferences.
Results are available for 12 European countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K., Czech Republic, Poland, and Russia), six verticals (finance, manufacturing, the public sector, retail/wholesale, business services, and transport), and six business size segments (50–99 employees, 100–249 employees, 250–499 employees, 500–999 employees, 1,000–4,999 employees, and 5,000 or more employees) on request.
"European enterprises increasingly follow a strategic and/or transformative investment approach to meet business objectives and digitalize their business. Investments in software-centric concepts such as virtualization and SDx solutions — SD-WAN, for example — are gaining importance, while security threats, network transformation, and automation are major concerns for ICT decision makers. This drives the need for advanced network life-cycle services, particularly around deployment, management, and maintenance of emerging technology solutions to enable network transformation. Vendors that position themselves as trustworthy partners that can support customers' transformation efforts will be well positioned in the coming years," said Sylvia Wünsche, senior research analyst, European Enterprise Networks and Life-Cycle Services.
