IoT Opportunities in the Nordics, 2021: End-User Plans, Priorities, and Pain Points
Abstract
This IDC Survey examines selected Nordic results from IDC's European survey on Internet-of-Things (IoT) adoption, plans, and preferences. The respondents are director-, VP-, or C-level personnel, split equally between business and IT decision makers from organizations with more than 100 employees across all industries.
The survey covers adoption drivers and challenges, investment plans, metrics for success, technology considerations, purchasing criteria, and vendor preferences.
This presentation focuses on demand as well as the technology use and preferences for the individual parts of an IoT solution (e.g., IoT platform, analytics, AI, 5G, and edge), including the use of and preferences for third-party services.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has both accelerated and decelerated IoT adoption in the Nordics as well as shifted priorities from transformational to optimization," said Anders Elbak, associate director, IDC Nordic.
