Abstract

This IDC Web Conference was presented on May 27, 2020 by IDC's Jennifer Thomson and Carla Arend to discuss how European organizations are starting to navigate the road to recovery and what that means in terms of prioritization for digital innovation. The COVID-19 crisis has re-emphasized that "survival of the fittest" is not linked to just size or scale but also to a company's ability to change, adapt, and be agile.

In the short term, app delivery teams are working to recalibrate priorities where code optimization, code maintenance, and security get more emphasis than net-new code underpinning pre-crisis innovation projects. However, it is also a time for organizations to assess their exposure points and to plan and prepare solutions ahead of a return to growth and innovation. The current crisis is an important catalyst in getting organizations to rethink various aspects of their operating models, organizational design and changes that will augment digital capabilities in the long term.

This webinar discusses:

  • How organizations can prioritize digital innovation initiatives to best support a return to growth and innovation
  • The new challenges faced and the steps that organizations can take to support the transition to digital innovation capacity at scale
  • The role of cloud in supporting digital innovation at scale
