Abstract

This IDC Market Perspective examines the current prospects for success of the cloud data platform vendor Snowflake in the European market following its IPO and European user conference. It suggests five strategies to increase Snowflake's chances of success in Europe.

"We see great appetite for cloud-based analytics in Europe," said Philip Carnelley, AVP for Software and Analytics, IDC Europe. "Snowflake's success so far has mainly been in the U.S., but if it can tailor its value proposition to the European market, there is a very large amount of business to be won here, and the company will present a significant challenge to current players."
