Abstract

This IDC Perspective discusses IT-OT integration and its impact on O&G companies. European oil players that have already accomplished IT- OT integration have started to realize the business value the integrated business model brings to the table. This document also looks at oil players' operational data-related challenges, wherein an IT-OT convergence will lay the foundation to build an operational data management platform to put data at work.
