Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insight into employers' expectations for post-vaccine return-to- the-office levels in Europe. The document contains data from IDC's Worldwide Future of Work Survey, conducted with 1,116 respondent companies (409 in Europe) in March 2021.

"After experimenting with new ways of remote work during lockdowns, European employers still expect 73% of staff to work primarily from the office post vaccine," said Meike Escherich, associate research director, European Future of Work at IDC. "Despite successful technology transformation, many companies have preserved the business ethos of in-office work and are now struggling with cultural aspects such as trust and effective teamwork when managing employees looking for a hybrid work model."
