European Enterprise Communications Survey, 2022: Key Opportunities for Network Life-Cycle Services (NLS) Providers

Sylvia Wünsche
On-line Presentation

This IDC Survey analyzes and addresses key opportunities for network life-cycle service providers in Europe and identifies business opportunities in the next 12 months. The survey is based on IDC's annual European Enterprise Communications Survey, 2022.

IDC's European Enterprise Communications Survey is an annual survey and a must-have for technology providers. It identifies organizations' priorities and challenges around enterprise communications services including telecommunications, collaboration, cloud, network, and life-cycle services. In addition, it provides an overview of companies' network management outsourcing preferences, provider ranking in Europe, and essential guidance.

Results are available for 11 European countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K., Czech Republic, Poland), six verticals (finance, manufacturing, the public sector, retail/ wholesale, business services, and transport), and six business size segments (50–99 employees; 100-249 employees; 250–499 employees; 500-999 employees; 1,000-4,999 employees; and 5,000 or more employees) on request.

"While we observe a rebound in the network life-cycle services market in 2022, external events such as the COVID-19 lockdown in China, the Russia-Ukraine War, increasing inflation in Europe, and supply chain disruptions subdued full market recovery. However, new evolving connectivity needs, hybrid work environments, as well as the adoption of cloud and software-defined networking that require increasing support around network optimization, integration, management, and support will provide new revenue opportunities for services firms in the coming years," said Sylvia Wünsche, senior research analyst, European Enterprise Network and Life-Cycle Services.
