European Telecommunications Service Provider Survey Highlights, 2022: Operations and Monetization Strategies
Abstract
This IDC Survey presentation highlights European telecommunication service providers' monetization plans and strategies based on IDC's European Telco Transformation Survey, 2022. Between May and June 2022, IDC conducted an online survey of 120 European telecommunication service providers (69 network owners and 51 mobile virtual network operators or MVNOs) to better understand how they are transforming their businesses.
The survey aims to capture valuable, real-time insight into the attitudes, concerns, and plans of qualified telecom and network decision makers across Europe and how their priorities will change over the next two years. The survey presentation identifies telecommunication service providers' strategies around network monetization and operations including OSS/BSS, cloud, software as a service (SaaS), and application programming interface (API) ecosystems. In addition, it provides an overview of companies' network investment priorities, challenges, and service provider preferences.
