Abstract
This IDC Survey investigates the latest trends in the EMEA emerging technology (emtech) market. Topics include the adoption maturity of a wide variety of emtechs, drivers and barriers to adoption, the skills needed to ensure effective implementation, and the most important use cases across emtech. The document also highlights the role of the C-suite in driving adoption, sponsoring, and evaluating emtechs' ROI. The study is based on IDC's EMEA Emerging Technologies Survey, August 2022, carried out among 864 organizations in EMEA.
"Investments in emerging technologies grew compared with 2021, with a larger share of EMEA organizations investing more than 21% of their IT budgets on emerging technologies," said Erica Spinoni, senior research analyst, European Digital Business Practice. "This is visible when analyzing organizations' multi-emtech adoption strategies as they leverage the codependence of emtechs to scale multiple use cases and achieve results not possible with a different approach."
