Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight looks at entities that European small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) prioritize for collaboration and identifies their top focus areas in industry digital ecosystems. Industry digital ecosystems are networks of organizations in which relationships between interdependent entities are purposefully established to create business value by integrating contributions from multiple participants. Such ecosystems include partners, customers, suppliers, service providers, and competitors within and outside the operating industry that dynamically collaborate as necessary to meet a given opportunity, challenge, or disruption. IDC's European Industry Acceleration Survey defines the SMB segment as businesses with a maximum of 499 employees.
