This IDC Market Perspective focuses on cloud cost management trends and public cloud vendor AWS' Cloud Financial Management capability. We in the era of FinOps in which cloud cost control and operational governance is no longer an afterthought. Digital mandates brought synergies between business, IT, security, and developers, and we are now rapidly entering the phase in which the finance dimension is added to this synergy to excel in cloud economics.

"We are witnessing a proactive focus on cloud costs.
