Abstract
This IDC Web Conference discusses how organizations can bring together DevOps and CloudOps strategies to ensure they are more impactful to meet digital business mandates. This webinar was presented live on February 2, 2023.
There is a growing realization that building and shipping software at the pace required by a digital-first competitive world requires deeper collaboration.
The enterprise reality of modern software development and delivery is full of technical, organizational, and cultural challenges. Some of these challenges are old, while some are new.
With increasing economic uncertainty, organizations are shifting priorities and increasingly focusing on optimizing their software development and delivery machinery while also striving to build capability and capacity to drive business differentiation through software.
Ensuring operational and strategic cohesion across the various teams dotting the digital value chain becomes key, especially as organizations will need to balance their priorities between efficiency, customer focus, and innovation.
But still, less than 10% of organizations in Europe operate under a unified approach that bring together development, quality assurance, operations, security, and the business in a consistent manner. Couple this with challenges pertaining to running across cloud environments at scale, and what results is deep operational complexity.
The topics covered include top priorities for DevOps, FinOps, and CloudOps in 2023; challenges and tactics designed to improve effectiveness in building and shipping software; and attitudes and expectations of personas along the DevOps and CloudOps continuum.
