Abstract

This IDC Vendor Profile provides a detailed view of Orange's performance within the context of IDC's sustainability framework. It examines three areas:

• The vendor's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) achievements
• The vendor's portfolio of social and environmentally sustainable products and solutions that help customers on their sustainability journeys
• The vendor's altruistic activities aimed at providing technology solutions and skills for good causes

Over 150 parameters in IDC's TSSI framework for cloud infrastructure and datacenter service providers were used to evaluate Orange's performance. This document examines the vendor's overall performance, highlights areas in which Orange outperforms industry averages, and presents a view of the vendor's best practices.

IDC profiles vendors based on how well they measure against sustainability criteria, how proactive they are in addressing sustainability issues, and how transparent they are in presenting information about their sustainability efforts.

In addition to Orange, the following vendors were assessed for the purposes of analysis: AWS, Beyond, Colt Datacenter Services, EcoDataCenter, Equinix, Google, Green DC, IBM, IONOS, Iron Mountain, Microsoft, NTT Global Datacenters, OVHcloud, Salesforce, Scaleway, ServerHouse, Telefonica, and Telenor.
