Abstract

IDC's European Security Survey is an in-depth research project that covers security, privacy, resilience, sovereignty, and trust issues. For the survey, IDC collected extensive feedback from European security and IT practitioners at enterprises (large and very large businesses), small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and public sector organizations.

This report details the main findings of the research regarding critical considerations around security technologies and processes, the adoption of security services, privacy and regulatory compliance concerns, and security of the extended enterprise, including Internet of Things (IoT) and OT infrastructure. The output provides insights into key security technology and managed service market growth drivers, including cyber-resilience, zero trust network access, the secure software-defined network edge, AI-driven analytics, security automation, and security services.
