Summary:

"Smart City" has developed into a concept with meaningful and real solutions for tackling regional and municipal issues, and as such, more and more cities are grappling with issues around starting and scaling projects. These issues include funding projects, developing key partnerships, convening internal stakeholders, legal models, and selecting the vendors and platforms to support scaling systems over time. This web cast will discuss the behaviors of cities in the US, Canada and Western Europe based on several recent surveys, including a global IoT survey and three region-based Smart City maturity benchmarks. The focus will be on the rising choices around smart city platforms and the pros and cons of considering a broad-scale vendor platform, as well as the key offerings available now. The goal will be not only to highlight current offerings in the market, but also present a way of short listing vendors to think through the myriad of choices.
