IDC FutureScape: Worldwide Future of Digital Infrastructure 2022 Predictions - Japan Implications
Abstract
本プレゼンテーションは、デジタルインフラストラクチャ市場における2022年以降の変化を予測し、ITバイヤーが認識すべき10項目の予測（Predictions）としてまとめている。本プレゼンテーションは米国において発行された『IDC FutureScape: Worldwide Future of Digital Infrastructure 2022 Predictions（IDC #US47441321、2021年10月発行）』の内容を基にしており、国内市場の状況を考慮して一部変更を加えている。
新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）は国内経済や企業のIT支出に大きな影響を与えているが、多くの国内企業はデジタルトランスフォーメーション（DX）への支出を継続している。その一方、DXに関するIT支出では国内企業と米国を主体とした海外企業とで支出姿勢に差が出ている。多くの国内企業のIT支出の対象がまだCOVID-19がもたらした変化への対応に主眼が置かれているのに対して、海外企業の多くはCOVID-19感染拡大収束後の大きな変化が恒常的に発生する「ネクストノーマル（The Next Normal：次なる常態）」における競争優位の獲得に主眼を置きつつある。その際に重要視されるのが「デジタルレジリエンシー」の獲得である。本プレゼンテーションでは10項目の予測を通して、デジタルレジリエンシーの獲得やデジタルインフラストラクチャの変革における世界と国内の予測を行うと共に、そのギャップについても分析している。
IDC Japan エンタープライズインフラストラクチャのグループディレクターである森山 正秋は、「デジタルレジリエンシーの獲得やデジタルインフラストラクチャの変革について世界市場と国内市場を比較すると、多くの場合、国内市場が予測の実現時期において時間がかかり、コスト／複雑性の水準も高くなっている。海外企業との競合に対応し、世界市場においても競争優位の獲得を実現するためには、本調査レポートで示された世界市場とのギャップを早急に縮小していく取り組みが国内企業に求められる」と分析している。
