Abstract

This IDC Perspective discusses the future of hybrid work, understanding the key trends and changes that arise by the storm of disruptions affecting the markets, with the pandemic having a central role on how companies evaluated remote versus on site work strategies. The future of technology around automation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning certainly will impact and help grow investment within this area where Latin America organizations are already interested in advance as we see in the use cases analyzed in this document which end up with relevant advice for technology buyers.

"Latin American organizations were suddenly pushed to migrate almost all their workforce in most of their geos to remote mode within a couple of days. Surprisingly, even though many have never considered that possibility manage to adapt rapidly thank to the cloud-based solutions available in the region. The ones who most rapidly adapted were able to get a competitive advantage in short but also saw the gains of productivity and employee and customer satisfaction increase. Thus, now many are not only keeping and perfectioning their hybrid modality but also looking at new technology such as AR/VR, AI/ML and robotics or experimenting with metaverse and web3 platforms to enhance workers interaction in the future"– Juan Pablo Seminara, Research Director.
