Group Vice President and General Manager of Worldwide Consulting
As group vice president and general manager of consulting, Scott McLarnon directs project teams providing clients with custom market intelligence. He has extensive experience working with clients to design and apply market intelligence to inform strategic planning, guide decisions, and manage operations. He leads the global teams responsible for developing and delivering custom projects relating to software, services, vertical markets and thought leadership.
Mr. McLarnon was instrumental in developing IDC's custom research and consulting business. An experienced market researcher, he has employed both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to study a range of IT product and service markets and topics. Prior to IDC, Mr. McLarnon was a senior consultant with a leading strategy and management consulting firm.
Mr. McLarnon holds a B.S. in business administration from Northeastern University. He received his MBA from Boston University's Graduate School of Management.
