Research Manager, Imaging Solutions, Latin America
As a Research Manager of Latin IDC America, Rosa María has project management responsibilities for the Imaging Solutions research program, which includes hardcopy peripherals products as well as digital cameras, scanners, projectors, among others.
Previously, Ms. Peñalva was collaborating with IDC Mexico as a Peripherals Senior Analyst, which includes printers and multifunctional technologies. Likewise, she collaborated with IDC as a networking analyst, including technologies of Hardware LAN/WAN, information services and corporate investments in networking solutions. Also, she was in charge of other markets of telecommunications including convergence and broadband.
Ms. Peñalva brings to IDC Mexico more than eleven years of experience in product marketing and marketing research in Mexico. Prior to IDC, she worked at Hanhausen and Doménech Consultores, as the consultant responsible for the research and forecast development for the offer-side on different segments of the IT Mexican market, like LAN/WAN switches, routers, remote access servers; as well as demand-side research programs like networking infrastructure and security software. Ms. Peñalva also worked as a Regional Analyst at Latin IDC America for the Desktop Printers Market.
Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Peñalva worked as Product Marketing Specialist for the Digital Solutions Division of Sharp Electronics Mexico, and she has occupied several positions in Marketing in companies such as IBM de Mexico, Colgate-Palmolive and American Express.
Ms. Peñalva has a Marketing Bachelor degree by Universidad Tecnológica de México and holds a degree in Productivity and Quality by the same institution. She is fluent in English and she has a intermediate knowledge of French.
