Paola Soriano

Research & Consulting Manager, Personal Devices, Latin America

As Research & Consulting Manager of IDC Latin America's Personal Device research, Paola Soriano is responsible for managing the research and analysis taking place across nearly a dozen countries in the PC and mobile phone markets and serves as a leading expert on the trends taking place in Latin America. Within IDC, Paola has also held the role of Senior Analyst for the Latin America mobile device market, as well as the lead hardware analyst for consumer IT products in Peru.

Prior to her experience at IDC, Ms. Soriano worked for Intcomex Peru where she was a product manager for Intel, Microsoft, and Imation products, and prior to that as a logistics manager for the company, working closely with companies such as Samsung, LG, Epson, HP, Imation, and Philips. Before working at Intcomex, Paola was a Sales Assistant for the Peruvian distributor, Deltron, responsible for planning and logistics. She also researched new technologies available in the market and managed the marketing budget, directly contributing to the company business plan, as well as developing important relationships with IT suppliers.

Paola holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (member of the Laureate Universities). She is fluent in English.
