Liz Conner is a Research Manager within IDC’s Storage Systems and Software research practice.  She provides detailed insights & analysis on industry trends, vendor performance, and technology changes. Ms. Conner is responsible for producing and delivering timely, in-depth market research with a specific focus on Data Protection, Storage for/in the Cloud, and Personal & Entry Level Storage.

Ms. Conner is the lead analyst for IDC's Purpose-built Backup Appliances (PBBA) research, focusing on tracking quarterly shipments via the PBBA Tracker, forecasting the PBBA market, and providing comprehensive market research. Additionally, Ms. Conner is expanding her research coverage to include the impact of end-point data protection, cloud-based data protection, and file sync-n-share markets on public and private cloud storage infrastructure.

Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Conner was a cost analyst for Tecolote Research, where she focused on product life-cycle cost estimates for the Department of Defense.

Ms. Conner earned an M.A. in Applied Economics from Binghamton University and a B.A. in Economics from The College of Wooster in Ohio.
