Group Vice President, Customer Insights & Analysis

As Group Vice President for IDC's Customer Insights & Analysis group, Ms. Kumar is responsible for managing a portfolio of global data products called the Spending Guides, including the 3rd Platform, Innovation Accelerators, and the Core IT Spending Guides.

Prior to joining IDC's Customer Insights and Analysis group, Ms. Kumar was a Consulting Manager for IDC's Vertical Consulting group where she developed and directed custom research and consulting engagements focused on helping organizations develop market entry strategies and improve sales planning efforts. Examples of such engagements include providing strategic analysis to identify market opportunities and improve a client's competitive position in the market, developing IT forecasts to set sales targets, and developing custom research to promote thought leadership in the market.

Ms. Kumar started her career in IT business consulting, focusing on the strategic intersection of technology and financial services while working for BearingPoint and Andersen Consulting. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University, with minors in International Relations and International Law.
