Vice President, Systems & Network Infrastructure Consulting
As Vice President of IDC’s Systems & Network Infrastructure Consulting Group, Heather Levinson provides business planning and implementation counsel supported by strong marketing research discipline. She has particular expertise in managing complex engagements, and in leveraging her quantitative and qualitative marketing research background to define intelligent business solutions for her clients.
Most recently, Ms. Levinson managed the Consumer and Market Insights group for a major beverage manufacturer where she led a team responsible for all research activities. Her key focus areas included strategic planning, new product development, brand equity and positioning, and market segmentation. Heather also led the transformation of the research group entailing developing a new department infrastructure with the aim to increase knowledge sharing, bring insights to life, and engage the organization in becoming more consumer centric.
Prior to this, Heather worked at Information Resources, Inc (IRI), a leading provider of sales and marketing information, software applications, and innovative business solutions and analyses for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. As VP of Client Service, she led a series of change management initiatives, including re-engaging clients with a new gold standard service model, high quality quantitative analytics, and superior commitment to the client businesses. At IRI, she focused on competitive defense plans; portfolio optimization strategies; in-market testing; marketing mix; pricing and promotion evaluation; industry best practices and data delivery.
Ms Levinson holds a B.A. from University of Wisconsin-Madison in Journalism and Communications. She received her MBA from Babson College where she graduated first in her class; summa cum laude.
