VP, Worldwide Custom Analytics Practice
Boyd Chastant is a Vice President, Worldwide Custom Analytics Practice, delivering custom research solutions that allow clients to better analyze, target and sell into their markets. Mr. Chastant works extensively with IDC's analyst teams to synthesize IDC's deep market expertise into actionable intelligence for its clients. Key deliverables include global, regional and local market models; share of wallet analysis; and ROI/TCO analysis.
Mr. Chastant has spent his career in telecommunications and network-related industries. Working across a broad range of disciplines including network design, product management, strategy, and merger and acquisition analysis, he has built a strong technical and business background. He brings both operating experience, having worked at service providers, and advisory experience, having consulted to numerous telecommunications and high-tech clients. Before joining IDC, Mr. Chastant worked with CNS, a buy-out firm focused on consolidation in the telecommunications industry. Prior to CNS, Mr. Chastant worked at OnFiber Communications (now Qwest) in developing, positioning and branding its product portfolio as well as expanding its customer base. Mr. Chastant also worked at Ernst & Young focusing on OSS system development and deployment.
