As Senior Analyst, Consumer and Mobile Research at IDC Canada, Emily Taylor conducts strategic research and analysis on the consumer services and technology markets, with a focus on the changing behaviours of Canadian consumers. Emily explores the impact on the Canadian market of hot topics such as multi-screen consumption of media, OTT (over the top) video, digital consumer behaviour, cord-cutting and wireless services, as well as wearables.

Emily spent the early years of her career at IDC Canada developing and delivering research to B2B and B2C clients. Prior to rejoining IDC, Emily was the Research and Insight Manager at Microsoft Advertising Canada, managing and delivering thought leadership research studies and digital advertising effectiveness studies based on online consumer behaviour as well as analyzing digital advertising market trends to assist in strategic decision making. She also advised the Ontario Ministry of Health in their marketing plans and program development using marketing research to discern how to engage the public.
