Sabharinath Balasubramanian

Senior Research Manager

Sabharinath Bala is a senior research manager with IDC's Australia Research Group. Based in Sydney, he is responsible for managing client engagements in areas critically associated with enterprise mobility and productivity applications (i.e., business competitiveness, go-to-market strategies, business strategy development, market analyses, and software trackers). He integrates previously siloed domains of devices, software, and mobile services into reports that clients can use to succeed in the market. Sabharinath’s responsibilities include IDC’s syndicated research portfolio as well as project-based custom engagements.

Sabharinath has more than 11 years of working experience in various capacities in ICT, IT enabled services (ITES), and the consulting industry, spanning research and analysis, client consulting, presales, and corporate strategy development. He had previously worked at Deloitte and IBM.

Sabharinath holds an MBA in marketing and general management from Thiagarajar School of Management in India and a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Bharathiar University. His areas of interests include strategic consulting for business growth and the impact of disruptive technologies in the markets.
