Mark Alexander Schulte joined IDC Central Europe as a consultant in October 2011. In this role, he observes and analyzes trends and developments in the German ICT industry and conducts individual consulting projects and market studies for clients in Germany and Switzerland.
Schulte focuses on the topics enterprise mobility, internet of things (IoT) and social enterprise collaboration. This involves a close interaction with vendors, partners and end-users of information and telecommunication technologies as well as IDC's worldwide analyst network. Typical projects involve the development of targeted go-to-market strategies and a sustainable positioning of ICT solutions in the German market.
Schulte is frequently quoted in the German IT and business press and speaks at industry and user conferences.
Prior to joining IDC, Schulte has carried out market research and consulting projects for firms in the IT, banking, and retail industries and worked in key account management at a leading telecommunications company.
Schulte holds two master degrees from Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany and Bond University, Australia. He studied Business Administration in Marburg, with majors in marketing, technology and innovation management as well as psychology, and graduated from Bond University with a master's in business.
