Research Manager, Custom Solutions, IDC China
As Research Manager for IDC, Luke Fang manages China’s Go-to-Market Service (GMS) projects, helping local and international IT vendors leverage research assets and IT market knowledge to build on thought leadership, explore market opportunities, as well as create and facilitate marketing campaigns for clients. Luke has extensive experience in working with China’s emerging IT giants venturing into the overseas market. He is also a veteran in running GMS programs with international vendors in the China local market.
Based in Beijing, Luke supports GMS project sales cycles, oversees project quality and delivery, assists the event team in the messaging process, coordinates IDC analyst resources domestic and overseas, and manages the external usage of IDC data. Luke is adept at visualizing IDC research content and creating mobile-friendly deliverables to serve marketing campaigns.
Before this role he was an IT market analyst of the manufacturing industry for IDC China, dedicated in IT market sizing and forecasting, competitive analysis, business modeling, market trends, end-user status, and demands analysis of the China manufacturing and automotive industries.
Luke joined IDC in 2008, before that, Luke spent seven years as a reporter and editor with China Daily. He graduated from Xi`an International Studies University major in English Literature.
