Yuta Torisu is a senior market analyst with the Communications research group based in Japan. In this role, he is responsible for the analysis of IoT (Internet of Things) markets in Japan. His major areas of interest include IoT-purpose Cloud platform, Analysis solutions for IoT sensor data, IoT-specific devices (embedded system, sensor, communication module), IoT-purpose industry solutions, IoT-focused security solutions and so on. Prior to joining IDC, he worked for an Asian based ICT consulting firm where he managed strategic consulting and research projects. In this role, he worked on wireless mobile business and digital convergence domain including analysis of IoT, smartphone/tablet devices, network infrastructure,  social media, cloud computing, smart-city, healthcare ICT, FeliCa/NFC technologies, mobile applications, and others.
