Research Manager, Vertical Industry Research and Consulting, IDC China
As research manager at IDC China, Yolanda Zhang is responsible for technology, media, and telecommunications, (TMT) analysis and research, consulting, and — to a certain degree — business development. Among her responsibilities at IDC China include market and competitive analyses, technology trends and predictions, user demands and preferences, and business models and practices. Her primary role is to analyze the TMT industry in China. She is also involved in the consulting department, where she does competitive analysis, IPO, and market positioning.
Before joining IDC China, Yolanda worked in Analysys International as an analyst, and in Zero2IPO Group as a research manager, where she was mainly in charge of the Internet, mobile Internet, and new media industries research, as well as related companies' investments. She is familiar in ecommerce, Internet gaming, social media, and new media industries. Yolanda had about five years of working experience in TMT, media entertainment, and consumption industry research. She is familiar with industry research methods and venture capital/private equity (VC/PE) investment processes, corporate client solution management, strategies, and growth issues.
Yolanda graduated from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications and is currently taking up her master's degree.
