Martha Rounds

Research Director

Martha Rounds brings over twenty years of experience as a writer, editor, and analyst to her role of envisioning and overseeing the creation of IEP’s research library. She serves as partner and mentor to IDC analysts whose research enables IEP’s enterprise-class clients to build and sustain successful IT organizations.


Martha began her work with IDC in the 1980s as a member of the Software and Services Information (SASI) program, and she was honored as the first research analyst to win IDC's highest honor, the James Peacock Award for research excellence. She left IDC to work as an independent writer and editor. Her research and writing, and that of her clients, has been published by academic, government, and private entities and in regional and local newspapers and magazines. She rejoined IDC in 2012.
