Nabila Popal works as a research manager with IDC's Systems and Infrastructure Solutions group, specializing in handsets, monitors and large professional displays across the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey.  Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, gathering, analyzing, and reporting market trends and dynamics for the region, and frequently engaging with regional vendor offices and other key market players to discuss the latest market trends and dynamics.

Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Popal worked as a consultant with CGI, the world's fifth-largest independent IT and business process services company. CGI provides organizations from various industries with high-end business and IT consulting, systems integration services, and management solutions. Ms. Popal joined CGI in 2005, working with clients in the U.S. government to develop end-to-end systems solutions. She also played an integral role in CGI's process-improvement programs, implementing CMMI Level 4 across her group.

Prior to IT consulting, Ms. Popal spent a few years working in the market research and advertising industries, working for industry leaders such as comScore Solutions and the HAVAS Group. She graduated summa cum laude from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, with concentrations in Marketing and Management.
